Carrying on with the port lights, I was able to get to cleaning up of the port forward port light today. As I had done with the starboard opening ports, I removed the butyl tape and "scrubbed" it with mineral spirits to remove the butyl residue. I then worked my way around the port with various "instruments" to remove the scale, butyl residue, and other such. I finished the re-surfacing by sanding with 320-grit paper.
